The East Olympic Village housing project in Port Said :
It is a strategic and environmentally conscious approach to urban development. Situated at the eastern side of the Olympic village in Port Said, this project spans an impressive total area of 41,811 square meters, equivalent to approximately 10 feddans.
The conceptual design is a testament to efficiency and sustainability. Treating the strip land as a unified plot, the architects aimed to maximize land use, converting dead spaces into vibrant recreational areas and creating open spaces. The commitment to environmental considerations is evident in the orientation of all masses towards the prevailing wind direction, promoting natural ventilation and a sustainable living environment.
The project’s layout encompasses a ground floor and 11 typical floors. Commercial units, strategically placed on the ground and first floors, contribute to a total area of 3,022 square meters. Administrative units occupy the second and third floors, providing 7,382 square meters of space. The remaining floors are dedicated to residential units, ensuring a well-rounded and functional design.
With meticulous planning, the project was envisioned to be developed in four distinct phases, reflecting a comprehensive and phased approach to construction. This holistic strategy emphasizes both the immediate functionality of the spaces and the long-term sustainability of the community. The East Olympic Village in Port Said stands as a testament to innovative urban planning and environmental responsibility in the realm of housing projects.
